According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was approaching County Line Road around 3:13 a.m. in the outside lane on a motorcycle as a Mazda 3 driven by Payge Heingarte, 19, of Cape Canaveral was traveling in the center lane. The motorcyclist, the patrol said, changed lanes and struck the rear of the Mazda.
