A 36-year-old Tampa man is facing driving under the influence charges for his role in a fiery crash on US Highway 19 North in Clearwater Saturday night.

A drunken driver speeding down rain-slicked U.S. 19 in the Countryside area struck a vehicle which burst into flames Saturday night, shutting down a mile-and-a-half stretch of the road for several hours, authorities said.
Robert A. Nelligan was travelling in his Mercedes on a wet road at a very high rate of speed when he hit a vehicle that was making a U-turn. A vehicle driven by Temitope Babalola, 35, was rotated across the center median and burst into flames. He suffered minor injureis and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Nelligan suffered only minor injuries that were treated at the scene. John R. King, 36, and a passenger in Nelligan's car, was not hurt.
