A pedestrian was killed while walking on on South Bea Avenue in Inverness Saturday evening. Charles L. Osterland III, 54, of Inverness, was struck by a 1999 Ford F-250 driven by William H. Wallen II, 44, also of Inverness, who driving north on South Bea Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. Wallen saw the pedestrian and attempted to avoid a collision, but Osterland was hit thrown onto the shoulder of the road. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
