Matthew Charles Dickerson, 34, was pronounced deceased at the site of a crash at 9 p.m. on County Road 557, when the driver of a Chevy van traveling north attempting to pass another vehicle. The van collided with Dickerson's Kia, which was heading south. The driver of the van and his passenger were transported to Heart of Florida Hospital, where they were treated and released for minor injuries. Neither speed nor impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash.
