Child killed in severe, single-vehicle crash overnight
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 11:40 p.m. on State Road 60, when the driver’s 2004 Suzuki SUV just drove off the road for unknown reasons. Deputies arrived to find the 7-year-old’s body on the ground. They say the child was not wearing a seatbelt, and had been ejected.

Kamicheliz Ayala, 7, of Lake Wales, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. It appears Kamicheliz was not wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
Figueroa-Vazquez was found outside of the vehicle and Kamicheliz's mother, Olmary Liz Gonzalez-Bonew, 35, was pulled from the burning SUV.
