No children were on board the bus when it happened. The intersection was closed as investigators and medical personnel responded to the scene. Local commuters were encouraged to use Florida Avenue as an alternate.

Heavy traffic after bus crash in Lakeland

Lakeland, Florida -- A bus versus motorcycle crash has created heavy traffic at Sikes and Lime Street. There were no students on board the bus. The motorcyclist died on scene.

Dude ran a red light after refusing to stop for a police officer for driving illegally. Cop stop chase several miles before scene of accident. Also he had a suspended license.
