Daniel Irizzary, 37, dies in a scooter accident with hit-and-run driver at US 19 North and 150th Ave. in Largo

Largo man struck, killed by hit-and-run driver

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door compact car that was missing one or more hubcaps. It also had black steel wheels according to witnesses. If you have any information about the second vehicle please contact Officer Keith Snyder with the Largo Police Department at 727-587-6730.
A 2004 Nissan Maxima struck the scooter from behind. The impact ejected Irizzary from the vehicle and into the roadway. The driver of the Maxima immediately stopped but a second vehicle ran over the deceased and failed to stop. Daniel Irizzary, a 37-year-old Largo resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
