Pedestrian struck, injured by deputy's car in Largo

A pedestrian was struck and injured by a deputy's patrol car Saturday night, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said. Feidt hit the brakes to avoid her, but the front right corner of the car struck her. Deputies said Reitzel was not crossing in a crosswalk. She was struck by a marked cruiser driven by Deputy Edwards Feidt, 22. investigators say Feidt was driving south on Starkey Road in the median lane around 9:15 p.m. when Reitzel emerged from a driveway access at 12650 Starkey Road and crossed the street. Nora Reitzel, 39, was taken by ambulance to Bayfront Health St.
