According to Sgt. Steve Gaskins, FHP spokesman, a 2004 Toyota driven by Kaitlin Jean Carroll-Cruz, 23, of Beverly Hills, was traveling west in the inside westbound lane of S.R. 44 when Reese reportedly collided head-on with Carroll-Cruz's vehicle, killing Allen.
