Two St. Pete women are accused in a violent road rage attack against another woman. St. Petersburg Police say it happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. Rose Lucarell was driving south on 34th Street and had to honk her horn at the women's vehicle to prevent an accident, according to a SPPD spokesperson. Amber Lynn Beckwith, 26, and Ariel Young, 22, then pulled their car next to Lucarell, yelled at her and gestured at her with their middle fingers. Lucarell rolled down her window and asked them to stop. Police say Young threw a water bottle at her. Beckwith then hit the left front corner of Lucarell's car three times, trying to force her off the road. Police say Lucarell feared for her life and stopped her car in the middle of the road. Beckwith pulled in front of Lucarell's car, then backed into it three times, according to police. Beckwith and her passenger Ariel Young then got out of their car and opened both doors of Lucarell's car. Young hit her in the back and Beckwith pulled Lucarell from her car, hit her and threw her on the street causing Lucarell to hit her head on the ground, according to police. Several witnesses called 911 and stopped to help Lucarell who was laying in the street. She was treated for her injuries at St. Anthony's Hospital. Young and Beckwith were arrested. Beckwith was charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and burglary with battery. Young was charged with burglary with battery.
