A pedestrian has been rushed to the hospital after a police cruiser struck him early Wednesday morning.

A 67-year-old man was apparently asleep in the roadway of Lake Maggiore Boulevard when he was struck by a patroling police car at about 2:45 a.m. He remains in critical condition in the hospital. The officer says he did not see the man, and was uninjured in the accident. We will add more details about this accident as they become available.
