Motorcyclist in critical condition after St. Pete crash

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- St. Petersburg Police was working a serious injury crash on Saturday evening, that left a man in critical condition. A Nissan Altima, being driven by 59-year-old John Thomas Pearce, was traveling westbound on 54th Avenue North in the median lane. A Kawasaki motorcycle, being driven by 22-year-old Zachary Buehler, was traveling eastbound on 54th Avenue North in the median lane. Pearce slowed to make a left hand turn into the driveway at 1210 54th Avenue North, checked for traffic and failing to see Buehler, made his left turn across the eastbound lanes of 54th Avenue North.
