Man, 93, injured Tampa hit-and-run crash

Tampa Police detectives are searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 93-year-old man. Tuesday, police said William John Thompson was crossing the road in the 2800 block of East Busch Boulevard when a person driving a gold 1995 Saturn hit him. Police said the suspect fled west on Busch Boulevard. The Saturn was found with a smashed windshield abandoned on the side of the road at 18th Street and Fairbanks Street. The victim, who police said was not in the crosswalk, hit the hood and the windshield of the vehicle.

Suspect identified in fatal hit-and-run in Tampa

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in the hit-and-run crash that killed an elderly man in Tampa. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Jasmine Crandall, is sought regarding the death of 93-year-old William Thompson. If anyone knows of the suspect's whereabouts, they are asked to call Tampa Police or Crime Stoppers. Police said Thompson was hit by a gold 1995 Saturn, which was later found abandoned. Crandall is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

Reward offered for Busch Blvd. hit-and-run driver

TAMPA -- An arrest warrant has been issued for Jasmine Crandall, 21, who is wanted for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 90-year-old pedestrian walking on Busch Boulevard on September 1. A 1995 gold Saturn that officers say was driven by Crandall was recovered at at N 18th Street and E Fairbanks Street. Crandall is facing charges for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death. A $3,000 reward has been offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay for information leading to the location and arrest of the suspect.
