Hillsborough County officials were on the scene of a deadly two-car crash in Thonotosassa on U.S. Highway 301 Monday morning.

Sheriff's Office says the crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. Monday morning just north of Stacy Road. Highway 301 has been closed in both directions due the crash.

Officials say 22-year-old Yadiel Calderon-Pizarro of Tampa was killed and the driver of the second vehicle, 49-year-old Rodney Manwaring of New York, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital via Medevac.

Florida Highway Patrol says the second vehicle was traveling southbound on 301 when Manwaring attempted to pass another vehicle also heading south in the two-lane road marked with a double yellow line. As the second car was attempting to pass, it approached Pizarro's vehicle and was unsuccessful in re-entering the southbound lanes causing the collision.

The first car landed in the southbound shoulder and the second car collided with a guardrail near a canal and came to a rest.

Further details that led to the accident remain under investigation at this time.

The man who didnt see the car on the wrong lane was my brother. This irresponsible driver I dont know how and why they let him on the road. Ronald manwarning I forgive you but you caused us a big amount of pain. He was the best most purest human being you could have met. Full of live and life !

The car that was headed south did not just pass one car-he was traveling for a while at a high rate of speed. he had opportunity to get back into the lane of travel-he forced a truck who was going northbound off the road-the other car was behind him and didn't see the this guy in the wrong lane-it not so cut and dry as what was reported.

This careless, reckless fool not only endangered others on the road that fatal day but KILLED a young man who was so beloved and so humble with a bright future. It sickens me to see this person going about his life without any repercussions. Yes forgiveness is what Christians are taught but justice and punishment is in order. He is my nephew and best friend. It hurts and I think about him everyday. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. This irresponsible individual doesn't know the impact this has had on family and friends. Yadiel was a young evangelist just starting to live his life with a loving wife. Newlyweds. An infant son and another soon to be born son. So loving, caring, humble, beautiful in spirit that influenced so many. So selfless. Words do not describe how much he has meant to those he has touched. A husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and a God Fearing Evangelist was taken from us because of a man who chose to drive senselessly and inconsiderate to himself and others on the road. I love you and you will always be in my heart my Brother in Christ, Yadiel Calderon

Yadiel was my best Friend and it is hard to see someone we loved leave us the people that care so much about him and that we miss but I forgive the man who kill my Friend my brother my everything and I now that he's 2 kids well grow just like there dad and I'll miss him for ever but I'll see him at heaven one day I promise big brothers god bless you forever.
