Andrew Harris: Snorkeler struck, killed by boat near Jupiter Inlet

Two boats were pulling into the inlet together when one of them hit the snorkelers. The FWC said both boats stopped to help and currently no one is facing charges.

A snorkeler was killed Sunday afternoon when he was struck by a boat near the Jupiter Inlet.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews and Jupiter police were stationed near Dubois Park as they gathered info and transported the injured diver to a hospital via Trauma Hawk.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirms the deceased man is Andrew Harris.

Harris was flown to a St. Mary's Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

A second person from the boating accident, Nicole Kapfer, received minor injuries.

She was transported to Jupiter Medical Center for treatment and has since been released.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials say the victims are both in their mid-20s.
