The incident occurred near the 80-mile marker of I-20, which is in the city of Conyers in Rockdale County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the victim, identified as Felipe Cervantes, 27, of Doraville, was first hit by a westbound Toyota Camry in the left lane near mile marker 80.
