Henry County police: Teen driver in deadly crash likely to face charges

Henry County police said the 17-year-old driver involved in a fatal one-car accident on Wednesday will likely face charges. A passenger in the front seat who was killed was identified as 16-year-old Jasmine Poole. The two teens who survived were airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Students held a vigil to remember a teenager killed in a crash that also sent two other teens to the hospital. Henry County police said the single-car crash happened near 1400 Pates Creek Road, near Noah's Arc Road in Stockbridge. A car flipped and ejected three teenagers in Henry County, killing 16-year-old Jasmine Poole and injuring two others. All three are students at Dutchtown High School.

The tragedy sparked solidarity among the still-stunned students and parents at Henry County’s Dutchtown High School on Thursday. "I was numb and I cannot imagine going through that," said mother Janet Odom. Wednesday afternoon, a violent rollover crash ended the life of 16-year-old Jasmine Poole and sent the teenage car driver and another female student to the hospital in critical condition.
