Police responded to a fatal accident in Barrow County on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. on the westbound side of Highway 316 between Patrick Mill Road and Carl Bethlehem Road.
A representative for the Georgia State Patrol told CBS46 that a tractor-trailer, a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle were involved.
The crash killed the driver of the pickup, Cody Grayson Brantley, 29, from Winder, and injured another person.
Authorities said a second accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 316 while officers were working on the first accident. One person was injured in that wreck.
Part of Highway 316 was closed for much of Wednesday due to the accident. The road reopened late Wednesday night.
