Truck driver crashes into fence at Reese Road Elementary

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A truck driver was injured after losing control and crashing into a fence at Reese Road Elementary on Friday. According to MCSD Director of Communications Valerie Fuller, the driver of the yellow truck struck the vehicle of a teacher who was inside her SUV at the time. There were no reported injuries to the employee who was in the SUV at the time, but the male driver of the yellow truck did have reported injuries. The teacher who was struck in the SUV was also transported to the hospital with reportedly non-life threatening injuries. Police officers and the MCSD security were notified immediately and emergency responders reported to the scene.
