Officers were speeding after a man they said stole a 2007 Audi. The owner told Uko off camera that he was at work when a neighbor called and told him a man was snooping around his home and looking inside one of his cars.
Witnesses said the man driving the Audi hit a Chevy Impala, which Pollard was driving.
The sanctuary inside Cascade Hills Church in Columbus was nearly filled to capacity Sunday afternoon as the community gave thanks for the life of Pollard.
He is charged with felony murder, theft by taking auto, and homicide by vehicle 1st degree felony. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court on Thursday, May 5 at 9 a.m.
According to investigators in court, Cross developed as a suspect when an anonymous tipster contacted police who knew Cross and went to church with his mother.
