GDPS: Driver of car that hit church van charged with DUI

Investigators believe the driver was DUI from evidence found in the car, as well as on the roadway, troopers said.
A van full of church members from Love and Hugs Christian Tabernacle church was headed north on State Road 184 when it was hit head on by a car driven by Ryan Bellamy, 31, who was southbound but swerved into the oncoming lane at about 8:30 p.m. Bellamy's car then departed the road and went down an embankment. He was taken to the hospital via helicopter. 16 people in the van were taken to local hospitals, though all but one of them has already been treated and released. Based on multiple sources of evidence, it was determined that Bellamy was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and he has been charged.
