Teens were on hunting trip when car struck tree
A Baldwin Middle-Senior High School student is on life support after a crash near the Florida-Georgia border Monday. According to the Georgia State Patrol, 17-year-old Richard Baer was on a hunting trip with three friends in Charlton County, Ga., when their car drove off Stokes Road and hit a tree. Baer was taken to UF Health Jacksonville. Troopers said Baer and his friends were near St. George, Ga., when the car they were riding in moved off the shoulder of the road and hit a tree. The teens were taken to the hospital, where doctors learned that Baer had suffered a head injury. He was put on life support. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
