1 lane of EB I-16 closed at MM 148 after single vehicle wreck

One lane of both eastbound and westbound Interstate 16 is blocked after a single vehicle wreck near Mile Marker 148. The wreck involved an SUV that was carrying eight passengers. Two were air-lifted to Memorial while two others were transported by ambulance. One person was ejected and the driver was entrapped. The Jaws of Life were used to cut the driver out of the car.
