The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run at Abercorn Street and West Montgomery Cross Road.

Viola Robertson, 46, was trying to cross the northbound lanes of Abercorn Street around 7:55 p.m. on Friday, October 14th, when she was hit by a person driving a gray Honda Pilot, said Darnisha Green, one of the Public Information Officers for the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department.
The impact from the Pilot threw her under a different vehicle.
