SUV broadsides school bus on Hawaii Island causing damage, but no injuries

Twelve students, ages 13-17, on Hawaii Island experienced quite a scare Wednesday morning when the school bus they were in got broadsided by an SUV. It happened at around 6:42 a.m. in Ocean View. Hawaii Island police say the bus was traveling south on Princess Kaiulani Boulevard when an SUV traveling west on Lehua Parkway ran a stop sign and broadsided it. The crash caused substantial damage to both vehicles, but no one was hurt.
