Idaho Panhandle Forest Protection officers were flagged down and told about a man injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday in the Kootenai County Backcountry.
Stephen E. Wiedmaier was motorcycling in the Kootenai County Backcountry when he lost control of his bike and crashed, injuring his leg. He was airlifted from the scene and taken to Kootenai Health for treatment. The accident is still under investigation.
