Tyler S. Bartlett, 22, killed, and Joel P. Slover, 57, Lorraine Slover, and Elizabeth M. Welker injured in head-on collision on Highway 2 near Dover, Idaho

1 dead, three injured in head-on crash near Dover, Idaho Posted: Updated: Idaho State Police report a 22-year-old man from Coeur d'Alene is dead after losing control of his car on snowy Highway 2 Saturday morning. Tyler S. Bartlett was driving westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 21 when he lost control of his 2007 Subaru Forrester and hit a 2011 Honda CRV driven by 57-year-old Joel P. Slover, of Newport, head-on. Joel Slover and his passenger Lorraine Slover were injured in the crash as was Bartlett's passenger, Elizabeth M. Welker. All involved were taken to Bonner General Hospital. Bartlett and Welker were transferred to Kootenai Health, where Bartlett died from his injuries

Bartlett and his passenger, 22-year-old Elizabeth M. Welker, of Coeur d'Alene, were initially transported to Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, then transferred to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, where Bartlett died. The driver of the other vehicle, 57-year-old Joel P. Slover, and his passenger, 55-year-old Lorraine M. Slover, both of Newport, were taken to Bonner General Hospital. The Idaho State Patrol says everyone involved wore their seat belts.
