A Chester, Illinois police officer was killed in a traffic crash while attempting to stop a vehicle late Friday night.

Police asked that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Stoker contact local police or the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office at 618-826-5484. Anyone found to be concealing the whereabouts of Stoker, or helping him to evade police, will be prosecuted, Walker said.

According to Randolph County Sheriff Shannon Wolff, Jason Michael Stoker was apprehended late on Tuesday afternoon, November 1 in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Man pleads guilty to reckless homicide in death of officer

With the plea agreement, charges including murder and aggravated fleeing are being dropped. Stoker faces three to 14 years in prison when sentenced Aug. 16.
