According to a state police report, Penny S. Boren, 70, of Danville was driving a 2010 Mercury Mariner north on Illinois 1 at 2:24 p.m. Saturday when she hit a 2007 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jacob R. Nelson, 38, of Danville, in the rear while Nelson was slowed or stopped waiting to turn left onto Vermilion County Road 2500 N.
