One person is dead, after a single vehicle crash in Menard County, on Wednesday morning at 4:53 a.m.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 123 just East of Petersburg. Illinois State Police say, for an unknown reason the vehicle went off the roadway and overturned. The driver, a 22-year-old female, was ejected from the car.
The vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane of Route 123. Illinois State Police District 9 continue to investigate.
