The chase proceeded down 294 to Interstate 57 and was joined by the state police, Klimek said, adding, "There may have been other towns (chasing) along the way." Speeds of up to 85 mph were reportedly reached during the chase. After leading police southbound on Interstate 57, the suspect made a U-turn using a lane is in the median that is reserved for use by authorized vehicles, Klimek said. A man wanted for homicide reportedly killed himself just north of Peotone during a police chase along Interstate 57. According to police dispatch and officers on the scene, the man had multiple weapons in his vehicle and fired a weapon at least once. The chase began southbound sometime after 2 p.m. Around 2:30 p.m. the vehicle made a U-turn near the 315 exit in Bradley and headed north into Will County.
