A wrong-way driver collided with a tractor trailer early Thursday on the Chicago Skyway, spilling diesel fuel and closing all southbound lanes for more than an hour on the South Side.

A female driving in a black Infinity northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 90 crashed with the semi about 1:30 a.m. near 76th Street, said a police News Affairs Officer.
The truck spilled diesel fuel, causing a HazMat situation that temporarily closed all southbound lanes, Greer said. The expressway was reopened about 2:55 a.m.
The female was taken with non-life-threatening injuries to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, Greer said.
The male driver of the semi also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and was listed in stable condition at Trinity Hospital, Greer said.
It was not immediately known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but citations were pending against the female driver, Greer said.
