Woman Fatally Struck By CTA Red Line Train In The Loop
A Red Line train fatally hit a woman in the Loop Tuesday night, according to authorities. At 10:52 p.m., the northbound train hit her on the tracks, a CTA spokesperson said.
The 35-year-old woman was pinned under the train and declared dead at the station, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson told reporters.

A northbound Red Line train came into contact with the person at 10:52 p.m. at the Jackson Station, 230 S. State St., said CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

The woman was struck around 11 p.m. and was killed almost instantly, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
