A Divvy bike rider has died after she was hit by a truck in Avondale on Chicago's Northwest Side Friday morning. It is believed to be the first bike-sharing death in the United States.

Those gathered included members of the biking community, witnesses to the accident, which included parents who stopped to help Murray en route to dropping their kids off at school, as well as family, friends and members of Murray's church, St. Mary of the Woods in Forest Glen.
