2 killed in Gold Coast crash identified; speeding car slammed into taxi

Joof was heading south in the 1000-block of North Clark Street at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light around 3:15 a.m. and rear-ended the cab at the intersection of Oak and Clark, police said.

Personally it think the detectives should take a look at as much video footage as possible, miles prior to the accident to see if there was any type of contact, road rage,etc. That type of collision makes no sense. Considering earlier In the day a man in My ran over people. Mr Joof my have assumed Mekonnen was of Middle Eastern decent like most cab drivers. As an Uber Driver with 8200 trips..i just can't see how Mr. Hoof did not see a white cab, or the oncoming street lights. Maybe it's nothing. Prayers go out to the families.

How about joof had a heart attack while driving.
