A man has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in connection with a crash that killed two women on the Eisenhower Expressway in west suburban Forest Park Sunday morning.

About 3:45 a.m., a 1998 Ford Windstar van was stalled in the eastbound center lane on Interstate 290 near the First Avenue exit when it was rear-ended by a 2012 Dodge Durango SUV, according to a statement from Illinois State Police. The Ford’s driver, 30, and back seat passenger, 29, both died on impact, police said. Their identities were not released early Sunday pending notification of family members, the medical examiner’s office said. A 25-year-old passenger in the front seat of the Ford and the Dodge Durango’s driver, 26, were both taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. All inbound lanes of the expressway were open as of 8 a.m. after being shut down for more than four hours. State police are investigating. UPDATE: Evelette Rivera and Krystle Hernandez have been identified as the two women killed in this accident. Aaron I. Moore is facing multiple charges.
