Longtime Elgin attorney dies in small plane crash near Plano

The crash took place in a wooded area in Kendall County, about 60 miles southwest of Chicago, ABC 7 reported on its website. Juergensmeyer was part owner of the plane, his wife said. ABC 7 reports it took some time to find the wreckage because of the location of the crash. A helicopter with night vision found the plane in a cornfield.
John Juergensmeyer, who had had his pilot's license for the past 35 years, made the 90-minute trip to visit his brother about once a month, according to his widow.
