Two semi-tractor trailers collided early Thursday morning on Interstate 80 near Annawan, Ill. Illinois State Police say around 5:30 a.m., a semi truck hit the rear of the trailer of another semi at mile marker 34.

Manuel Hernandez was driving a semi-truck eastbound on Interstate 80 when he reached for an object on the floorboard just as another truck was entering the interstate from Illinois 78. Hernandez was not able to avoid hitting the semi in front of him. There were no injuries, but both vehicles suffered significant damage.
