Officials said the two couples in the van all were related.
Four people died and another injured when two vehicles crashed on Route 20 near Galena. Raymond Anger, 68, of Hanover, was traveling south on Route 20 when his vehicle swerved into the northbound lanes and collided with a van driven by Walter Mercer, 61. Both men died as did passengers in Mercer’s van, 83-year-old Robert Fosdick and 85-year-old Patricia Fosdick, of Savanna. A fourth passenger in the van, 63-year-old Rhonda Mercer, was transported to a local hospital. Her condition is not being reported at this time.
