Pedestrian Anna C. Stockham, 28, stuck and killed by train near Cherry Street crossing in Morrison, Illinois

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Morrison, Illinois overnight, police say. The train had been heading eastbound on the north set of tracks when it struck a pedestrian just east of the Cherry Street railroad crossing in Morrison. According to the police department’s Facebook page, several railroad crossings were closed as officers investigated the incident throughout the night.
