3 hurt in head-on crash in rural Stockton

Three people were hurt when two vehicles collided head-on near the intersection of U.S. Route 20 and South Evans Road in rural Stockton, Illinois. Police said 18-year-old Ashley Holmes of Dekalb, Illinois, was driving a vehicle eastbound, in the wrong lane of traffic, when she collided head-on with a westbound vehicle just before 4 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2015. Holmes and her passenger, a 22-year-old from Chicago, were hospitalized for their injuries. A 59-year-old Wisconsin woman, who drove the westbound vehicle, was hospitalized and later transferred to a hospital in Rockford for treatment of her injuries. “Deputies believe alcohol was a factor and charges against Holmes may be pending,” said the crash report from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
