Gonzalez was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was ticketed for improper lane usage.

Jesus Gonzalez, 27, was driving a semi-truck west on I-72 at about 5:30pm when he attempted to change to the left lane to pass the vehicle in front of him. However, an SUV driven by Joyce R. Miller-Boren, 59, that was behind Gonzalez's truck was already trying to pass him in the left lane, and the two vehicles collided. The crash killed Miller-Boren, while Gonzalez was only slightly injured and ticketed for improper lane usage.
