Services Set for Rylander
Funeral services for Western Illinois University student Ty Rylander, 20, will be held at 10:30 am. Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Pittsfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Rylander, a freshman agriculture major, passed away Nov. 17 in Macomb.
Pittsfield man dies in head-on collision southeast of Macomb
Police say the accident was caused by improper lane usage, though the investigation continues.
Ty Rylander, 20, of Pittsfield, Illinois was driving southbound on U.S. Route 67 near CR 1150 N., which is Grant Street in Macomb, when his car crossed over the center line and into the path of a tractor trailer. Rylander was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the wreck. The semi driver was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. Rylander was a student at Western Illinois University, and University Counseling Center staff are available for students and other members of the University community who wish to seek assistance.
