Students, college officials grieve after classmates' fatal crash

Counselors and clergy members were at John Wood Community College Thursday to help students and staff cope after a crash killed two students and injured two others. Officials say counseling and support will be made available for students as long as they are needed. Coming up tonight on WGEM News at Five and Six, we'll explore options available for students learning to process the loss of their classmates. All of them were members of the schools baseball team.

The report said a Subaru Impreza driven by Edrick Rivera was traveling between 76 and 78 mph at the moment of impact. The speed limit on that street is 45 mph. Police said the primary causes of the crash were speeding and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident by Rivera.
