Bryan Walsh, 49, killed and Phil Carothers, 57, injured in head-on accident involving 18-wheeler on Route 38 in Rochelle, Illinois

ROCHELLE (WIFR) '€“ A 49-year-old man is dead after a car crash on Route 38 that has caused roads to be closed for hours. The Ogle County Sheriff'€™s Office says Bryan Walsh of Rochelle was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a semi-tractor trailer in the 18000 block of E. Illinois Route 38. Wednesday and believe that the vehicle driven by Walsh was traveling westbound, crossed the center line, and hit the semi head on. The crash is still under investigation. We'€™re told the driver of the semi, 57-year-old Phil Carothers of Cordova Tennessee was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
