Boy killed after father falls asleep driving

Lyke’s son, Hezekiah Thomas, was in the front passenger seat. He was ejected out of the vehicle and landed in the roadway between the pickup and the U-Hall trailer. 
Hezekiah and Jeremiah Thomas, both 11, were in the car with their father George Lyke, 52, driving, when he fell asleep at the wheel and collided with a semi-truck stopped just off of the road. Hezekiah was ejected from the pickup truck and killed, and Lyke was injured and has been described as "in and out of consciousness". Jeremiah was not hurt.
