MAJOR CRASH ON US 421 IN LAPORTE CO. INJURES 5
Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on US 421 near Alida Road in Westville, Ind., the La Porte County Sheriff's Office says.

Investigators are searching for the driver of a northbound vehicle, possibly a Dodge Neon, that was reportedly just ahead of Michaels’ car before the crash. Anyone that may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Detective Scott Boswell at (219) 326-7700 extension 2443.

It was about 5:30 a.m. when a northbound vehicle on U.S. 421 driven by a 44-year-old man collided with a car containing two men, ages 40 and 43, and two minors: a 10-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl. The two men and the boy all sustained critical injuries and were taken to the hospital via helicopter, and two other victims were less severely injured and transported by ambulance.
