Officers say a truck heading east on Washington Avenue blew through the stop sign at Newburgh Road about 10:45 p.m. and crashed into a utility pole.
The impact ripped off the side of the vehicle and threw the driver from his truck; he was found pinned underneath, where he died at the scene.
