Amber Davidson was taken to Saxony after the 2002 Dodge Intrepid she was driving south on I-69 went off the interstate at mile marker 217, rolling into the median and striking cable barriers, before continuing south down an embankment and coming to a stop in a creek.
A 23-year-old Fishers woman died at IU Health Saxony Hospital on Thursday night, several hours after her car drove off I-69 and ended up in a creek, Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson said in a written release.
Amber Davidson was taken to Saxony after the 2002 Dodge Intrepid she was driving south on I-69 went off the interstate at mile marker 217, rolling into the median and striking cable barriers, before continuing south down an embankment and coming to a stop in a creek.
The Sheriff’s Department received the call shortly after 4 p.m., Richardson said. Two citizens pulled Davidson from her vehicle prior to emergency crews arriving on the scene, he said.
The Hamilton County Coroner will determined the cause of Davidson’s death, Richardson said.
