Motorcycle passenger killed in crash is identified

The accident occurred when the driver of a Honda sedan traveling westbound on Southeastern tried to turn south on Acton and collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on Southeastern.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol to be a factor in the accident. The driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation and is submitting to a blood draw.
A motorcycle passenger who was killed in an accident Saturday morning on Indianapolis' Southeastside has been identified. Teresa Wilson, 59, Indianapolis, was killed in crash around 10:50 a.m. at the intersection of Southeastern Avenue and Acton Road, said Officer Rafael Diaz, a spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Wilson was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where she died of her injuries a short while later, Diaz said. The male driver of the motorcycle, who has not been identified, also was taken to Eskenazi with "sustained lower leg injuries," Diaz said, and was in serious but stable condition as of late Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred when the driver of a Honda sedan traveling westbound on Southeastern tried to turn south on Acton and collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on Southeastern. The driver of the car was "shaken up," Diaz said, but not injured.
